Bose VideoWave II is the newest addition to the home theatre selection from Bose. The original version was designed to provide a full home theatre solution for any home. It comes with a TV component that has built in speakers and a Bose receiver that controls every other component you may need. This includes the DVD player, the DRV and eve the BluRay player. There is also a dock that you can dock your iPhone or iPod so you can listen to all your music.
The Click Pad remote that comes with the package is probably the coolest feature. This remote has a few buttons on it, but it is able to control your TV and all the other components that are connected to the receiver. You simply touch the click pad to activate the options on the TV screen and you can then use your thumb to navigate your way and choose the different functions.
The system comes with Bose speakers that go the whole way around the back of the TV screen. The new version now provides an option for a bigger 55 inch screen, although the original 46 inch screen is still an option. They have upgraded both screens to LED, that is backlit. You will see an improvement in the quality of the picture as far as brightness and clarity is concerned.
You will not need any exit surround speakers and subwoofers. However, the quality of the sound is still high quality. They have hidden the subwoofer in the back and incorporated the new Wave Guide system which folds is also cleverly hidden in the back panel. This system has seven speakers which direct the sound to different areas in the room, therefore you will still have both surround sound and high quality bass.
