India Hicks wanted to really understand jewellery before she started selling pieces, so it took a little longer than usual to get this line off the ground. She does the initial sketches and designs which are then shipped off to a technical drawer who creates the final piece. Initially she came out with three collections, Island Living which is an ode to the years she spent living on the islands. This is a more organic, soft and elegant collection. It features brushed silver with diamonds.
The Hicks on Hicks collection represents her past life. It has strong influences from her father, you see more hexagon patterns. The third collection is the love letters collection which is based on geometric letters that she was exposed to growing up. These collections are so great, they can stand alone without the Hicks name attached to them. She personally believes this is important as her jewellery is aimed at strong individual woman, who are already aware of their style sense. This is a vision that is very true to India Hicks.
The new single letter diamond silver pendant is from the Love Letter collection and this is the one that caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey. You can get it any letter of the alphabet, besides the letters X & Q. It is made from sterling silver and has one letter that has diamonds on it.
