Beats Studio Over Ear Headphones Review

The Beats Studio headphones still have that sleek look and design that all Beats headphones have been known to have. The 2013 version, is a brand new design. With the new design also comes a huge improvement in sound quality. It is a clearer sound, that defines vocals and instruments without hampering the bass. This change is sound quality makes these headphones now suitable for listening to many different genres of music.

PROS

- The ear cushions or cups are very comfy. They fit around your ears and allow effective noise cancellation as well as hours of comfortable use.
- Very comfortable headband.
- Mute button on headphone side now not only mutes the music, but can decrease the volume slowly until the sound is muted.
- Battery indicator shows your battery levels, you no longer need to guess how much battery power is left.
- Automatically powers on and off, as you plug in or unplug the cable.
- 20 hour rechargeable battery, no extra AAA batteries needed anymore.
- No decrease in sound quality as the battery runs low, they just shut down.
- Not as much sound leak as the predecessors, noticeable reduction in leaked sound levels.

CONS

- Fingerprints on the plastic head band (I guess you can use the wipe to clean them)
- If the cable is not plugged in, it will turn off.
- If battery runs out, they stop  working.
- No pouch to hold your cables in the case.

Unboxing Beats Studio Headphones.

When you remove the plastic cover, you have to slide off the top black cover. This leaves you with the red box. The headphones will be in a protective black case. When you lift that out of the box a smaller compartment is revealed which has the manuals and warranty information. Below that is the black cloth for wiping and keeping them clean.

In the front section of the box is another box, that has the wall charger with USB access point. Right at the bottom of the box is all the cables. There should be three of them, the micro USB cable for charging and the headphone cables with inline controls. When you unzip the protective case, you will find your headphones folded to fit snuggly in the case.

It will take about an hour to fully charge the Beat Studio Headphones. The new eggshell case has a lot of space inside, that allows you to carry other things besides just your headphones. The price for the Beats brand of headphones is pretty high, but for the quality you are getting it is well worth your money.

"It's no secret that Beats are my favorite headphones, and the latest version is the best yet: Besides the usual crisp sound and comfy ear cups, this lightest-ever model has new noise-canceling technology and can be charged via USB port."—Oprah
